The Badalona Port Watersports Base is one of Marina de Badalona\u2019s services intended to offer you different ways of getting into the sea and making suggestions that include everyone. Because, whoever you are, you shouldn\u2019t be deprived of the chance to try that first contact between you, the sea and the wind, and then to continue the relationship with supported and guided activities. The Watersports Base promotes the culture of the sea based on watersports that offer great values in terms of personal and collective development. These include the city\u2019s cultural seagoing heritage, individual responsibility, and empathy and respect for the marine environment.\u00a0 There are opportunities for children of all ages, teenagers and adults. You can do them in a group, alone or however you like, depending on the occasion. They can be leisure activities, competitions, celebrations, or lessons for children as part of the school curriculum, after school or as special holiday courses.<\/p>\n

The sea, the wind and you. Take the plunge and experience a more direct relationship with the sea around you. If you\u2019re keen, we\u2019ll guide you with our expertise. And you can use our equipment and port facilities, pushing off from the slipway or Marina Beach. Get off your towel and into the sea, with light sailing, surfing and paddleboarding or kayaking. You\u2019ll never look at the water the same way again.<\/p>\n

Your first contact with sailing is in small, manoeuvrable, folding boats perfect for learning and for your first races, as a group, in pairs or individually. We have Fusion and Ludics models. Why not come along?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″]

PADDLEBOARDINGPADDLEBOARDING<\/span><\/h3>

It\u2019s the latest trend. You move along on a surf board standing up, propelled by a paddle.\u00a0 People love it because it\u2019s safe and because you do it by yourself. There\u2019s also the XL version, where you can go out in a group.\u00a0 Try it!<\/p><\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″]

KAYAKINGKAYAKING<\/span><\/h3>

Kayaks are propelled with one or two paddles. We have models of kayak for one, two or three people. They\u2019re ideal for doing sport by admiring the skyline and for going out in groups, or in a two-seater. Like all the suggestions, kayaking is something you can do at any time of year. After all, the Inuit people do it in the frozen Arctic!<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″]

The ketch Ciutat Badalona, Marina Badalona\u2019s classic boat, allows us to teach traditional sailing. This is possible thanks to the alliance between the Watersports Base and the Association of Friends of the Ketch Ciutat Badalona.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″]

The Watersports Base is a service provided by one of the newest ports on the Catalan coast, with its own esplanade, slipway, hangar, changing rooms and even a beach. Auxiliary support boats, life jackets and telecommunications are all included in the port\u2019s own safety plan, which is supported by the resources of the port and Marina Beach, which has a lifeguard service during the summer season.<\/p><\/div>[\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″]

We\u2019ve been included in the School Sailing programme promoted by the Catalan Sports Council, together with the Catalan Sailing Federation, Badalona Sailing Club and the city council.
