In the mornings, from 9.30 to 1.30, the activities focused on taster sessions \u2013 light sailing, rowing, kayaking and paddle surfing \u2013 for organised groups from the different play schemes (as many as 20 organisations were involved). In the afternoons there were programmes to prepare over-16s for entrance exams for sailing and rowing instructor training scheduled for the first fortnight in October. The idea is to train young people from the city so they can be instructors next season.
