When the new Badalona Channel comes into service, the marina will be even better connected with the city via the 350-metre Rambla and channel running from the municipal Olympic Pavilion to the Promenade and the sea.
It has been designed so as not to separate boating activities from the services offered by a great city, providing an area that’s a metropolitan attraction. It is calculated that the project will come to fruition in the period 2023-4. As a boating facility, the Badalona Channel will have 200 moorings for boats 8 metres long without mast, with a maximum beam of 2 metres and a maximum height above the waterline of approximately 3.5 metres. As a new central metropolitan feature, it offers 6,000 m2 of commercial premises for boating services and restaurants, and to meet other more general needs of the new seaside district and civil environment.
