Mediterranean architecture is at the heart of this year’s 48h Barcelona Open House festival, to be held over the weekend of 23 and 24 October 2021. Once again, and particularly considering this year’s theme, the marina and its surroundings are included in the programme for their architectural value. Specifically, they are included on a tour that will set off from the Harbourmaster’s Building; enter the hotel, which is not yet open to guests, to see from the terrace how the coast has been transformed; and continue along the promenade, explaining the transformation of a run-down area into one with urban quality that is well used by the public. The guide for the tour will be the architect Xavier Salvà. Bookings on the festival website. The meeting point is the entrance to the Harbourmaster’s Building. See you there!
